　In this open seminar, economic aspects of the issues related to food, resources and environment
are discussed as well as the aspects of climate change which are closely linked with each other.

The first lecture was held on May 24 “Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation for the Rural Environment”by Dr B. Brook (Univ. of Adelaide) The second lecture was held on June 28 "Water resources and environmental economy" by Dr John Ward ( Chief Researcher, CSIRO, Adelaide)
The third lecture was held on July 23 "The use of Life Cycle Assessment in the Australian agricultural industry" by Dr Michele John (Curtin University)
The four lecture was held on August 23 "Biodiversity Conservation on Western Australia's Farmland" by Dr B WHITE (West. Australia University)


Besides these, several seminars by Australian researchers staying in Japan are scheduled on occasion.
